Accessibility.

Every page is built from headings, lists and landmarks, in the order it reads. A skip link comes first. The whole site works from the keyboard, and what holds focus says so with a two-pixel ring.

Text meets 4.5:1 against its background, in both themes and in all six tints. The tint you pick colours the surfaces exactly as it is drawn in the palette; where it becomes text, it darkens or lightens until it is readable.

Projects open and close on click and on Enter, through the browser's own disclosure element. Nothing here is a div pretending to be a button.

The showcase at the top of the page moves on its own, so it carries a pause button, next to the images. It also slows under the pointer and stops on keyboard focus.

Every project image is described — forty-four of them, one sentence each, saying what is in the picture rather than repeating the project's name.

If your system asks for reduced motion, it is honoured throughout: the showcase stops, the reveals are cut, the cursor goes back to being the one your system draws, and the falling shapes on Le Polographe never fall.

Nothing autoplays with sound, nothing steals focus, nothing runs on a timer you have to beat.

The tool capsule at the bottom of the screen turns to the tint on hover, which is faint for the palest tints. The decorative marks — the falling shapes on Le Polographe, the mark beside each teaser — are drawn in the tint as it is, without correction. Neither carries meaning.

In the showcase at the top of the page, each image is a link to its project, so its text alternative names that project rather than describing the picture. Open the project and the same images are described properly.

By me, on this site, not by an outside auditor: keyboard passes on every page, contrast measured on all twelve theme and tint combinations, every image alternative written by hand, and the pages read with the browser's own tools. No formal audit and no user testing with assistive technology has been done. That is worth knowing when you read the claim above.
